Why audition with CBWE
If you are an accomplished amateur or professional musician and are looking for an opportunity to perform in a professional concert band, the Chesapeake Bay Wind Ensemble is the ensemble for you. Come share your talents with the community.
Who can audition
All CBWE members must submit a recorded playing audition before being invited to perform. Membership is open to adult musicians age 18+, and to high school students 16+ who have auditioned successfully for their District Band or play in an auditioned youth performing ensemble (e.g., Bay Youth Symphony Orchestra, Peninsula Youth Orchestra, Williamsburg Youth Orchestra). All musicians are volunteers and serve without compensation. Positions in each section are limited to proper instrumentation.
How to audition
To audition, select ONE (1) etude from the list for your instrument, record yourself performing it, and submit the recording to cbweband@gmail.com. We will be in touch shortly after that. For more information, email us at cbweband@gmail.com.
